 As a kid I imagineered the HEX - the Hostile Environment Explorer. This was an impenetrable mobile exploration unit resistant to tremendous environmental extremes making it suitable for exploring the molten hearts of planets, the burning cores of suns, the deep oceans of ice worlds, the interiors of iron mountains and the vast cold expanses of deep space. Not quite there yet but still dreaming!
